Sanity Film Trailer

The Tesco Issue

When planning my film trailer I assumed that I would be able to film in a supermarket, ideally Tesco, and so planned accordingly, with many of my earlier planning and research documents focusing on this factor. However, after receiving emails and replies from Tesco, ASDA and Sainsbury's it was clear that I was unable to film my trailer in any of these locations, and therefore had little time to plan and complete the documents again with the new idea I had to put in place. I overcame this issue by using most of the planning I had already conducted and merely changed the location, hence why some of the planning section may seem slightly fragmented in places. I am however, glad that I was able to overcome the difficulties of having to film on such short notice and create a new idea in the little time that I had.

Upon completing the film request I received a reply that stated it was not possible to film in my local Tesco supermarket.

Also, shots such as the police tape, fire scene and various other shots were added on the day and were not planned, and are consequently not in the planning section. 

Colour Grading

Despite not having all of clips filmed and complete, I have begun the editing process, specifically the colour grading aspect. For this I used the three way colour wheels in order to correct my images, giving them a clearer look and a similar tone. The three way colour corrected is good as it allows me to have flexibility and accuracy when colour grading the film. Shown in particular by the shot below, it allowed me to make the blood more of a red colour, and the water a clear white, rather than the orange hue it originally had.

As seen, the colours are more defined, giving the shot a much better look, rendering it more effective overall. 

Call Sheet

The following call sheet was conducted and then ticked off when the cast members were present and the date and director were also filled in. However, I was unable to film at Tesco as I could not gain access to film there and so had to change some of the shot locations.
